Wedding DJ & MC

Meal to carriages, or evening only.

Pro Mobile DJ of the Year 2025. Thirty years behind the decks. Weddings across Hertfordshire, the UK and internationally, from £1,350.

What that award actually means

Pro Mobile’s DJ of the Year isn’t a public vote and it isn’t a regional shortlist. It’s decided by the UK mobile DJ industry — the people who do this job, judging the people who do it best. In 2025 they picked me.

You’ll compare a lot of DJs who all describe themselves as award-winning. This is the one that other DJs voted on.

The roster

Two ways to book me.

Both start at your wedding breakfast. I don’t cover ceremonies, so you get two parts of your day done properly instead of three done adequately.

Prices are a starting point; your final quote depends on the date, your venue and how long you need me. Travel outside Hertfordshire is quoted up front — nothing gets added after you’ve booked.

How it works

How the planning works.

  1. Check your date

Tell me when and where. I’ll come back within 24 hours with availability and a proper quote — not a brochure.

  2. We talk it through

A call or a coffee. What you want the day to feel like, what you’re worried about, and the three songs that would empty the room.

  3. Your portal opens

Timings, must-plays, do-not-plays, first dance — in one place, editable right up to the week of the wedding.

  4. I handle the rest

I talk to your venue and your suppliers, build the set around what you’ve told me, and arrive early enough that you never see me set up.

What turns up

A booth that suits the room.

White booth, starlight backdrop, uplighting matched to your colours. It photographs well, which matters more than people expect — it’s in the background of half your evening pictures.

Questions

Questions couples actually ask.

Can we choose the music?

Yes, and you can choose what I don’t play. You get a must-play list and a do-not-play list, and I take the second one as seriously as the first. All I’d ask is that you leave me some room to read the floor on the night — the best moments at a wedding are usually the ones nobody planned.

How far in advance should we book?

Most couples book me 9–14 months out, and Saturdays between May and September go first. If your date is inside six months it’s still worth asking — I keep a small number of dates back.

Are you insured, and will our venue need paperwork?

Yes — £5m public liability cover and PAT-tested equipment. I send the certificates straight to your venue as soon as you book, so it’s one less thing you have to chase.

Do you cover the ceremony?

No — I start at the wedding breakfast. Ceremony music is usually best handled by your venue or a musician, and I’d rather do two parts of the day brilliantly than three of them adequately. I’m happy to point you at people I trust, and I’ll coordinate with them so the day joins up.

What if the two of us like completely different music?

That’s most couples — it’s the job. We’ll build a night that moves through both, and your guests will never notice the joins.

Do you MC as well, or just DJ?

Both, on the Signature Wedding Host & DJ package. Speeches, cake, first dance, and the announcements that keep a day moving. Thirty years means I can do it without sounding like a game show.

We chose Matt’s all-day MC and DJ package for our wedding and he absolutely delivered. As Bride and Groom we have different music tastes and were unsure how it would come together — Matt made us feel completely reassured and catered to both of us perfectly.

He was given an indication of the type of music for a crowd of about 100 and did an amazing job of sticking to the brief whilst reading the room perfectly — the dance floor was packed all night. He even visited the venue in advance to check logistics.

What a lovely and enthusiastic professional! Very adaptable, flexible, and amenable. Really knows how to read the dance floor. Highly recommended!
